3:05 – 4:00 p.m. Cross-Country Club Run to Diefenbaker Park (Students will leave the gym with Teacher Coordinators to run to the park for a short recognition event)

Please pick up student participants at the school by 4p.m. A big thanks to Teacher Coordinators and Mrs. Welz for organizing the afternoon wrap-up!

Thursday, October 28 Casual Day!  Students are welcome to wear school appropriate clothes of choice (uniform optional)

 

Vision 2030 “The Big Reveal” – at approximately 3:30 p.m. Delta School District will unveil a new Vision for the next ten years. Through a visioning process, the voices of almost 3,000 individuals were heard. Stay tuned!

Friday, October 29 Hallowe’en Costume Parade in the afternoon:

  • Costumes should not be too scary. Please keep in mind our youngest students’ enjoyment of the parade.
  • Toy weapons – please keep at home
  • Costumes should be culturally appropriate
  • Please respectfully avoid any costumes depicting Covid-19

We also wish your family a safe and happy Hallowe’en night on Sunday, October 31! 🙂

Parent/Caregiver Online Opportunity:

Zoom Session:  “Creating Conversations – Gang Prevention”

When: October 27th 6:30-8:30pm.     Where: Via Zoom

This session will help create awareness and education on the ways in which gangs are using social media to target and recruit youth. Parents/caregivers will leave this COMPLIMENTARY presentation with a greater understanding of how to prevent youth from getting involved in gangs and other worrisome activities.
